Liverpool Football Club will take its first strides into the
world of motorsport this weekend – and are giving away
thousands of tickets.
The Superleague Formula is racing's newest competition and
will see football clubs from around the world – including
Liverpool - compete in a six-race season. The first race is
at Donington Park this weekend, when Spaniard Adrian Valles
will wear LFC colours against drivers from AC Milan, Porto,
Flamengo, Rangers, Corinthians, Borussia Dortmund, Sevilla,
Roma, Tottenham, Galatasaray and more.
There will be two main races across the weekend, with each
car containing an identical 750 horsepower, v12 engine able
to reach speeds of up to 180mph.
Aside from the racing, a whole range of paddock activities
have been organized around the race to keep you amused
around the races, with an acrobatic airshow, motorcycle
stunt show, football zone, karting area, ball control,
simulators and much more.

Urban Beach Volleyball Tour 2008
The Urban Beach Tour is an event which helps to showcase the
sport of Beach Volleyball by building beaches in City Centre
spaces and organising a three day festival of the sport
including competition and coaching. In 2008 the tour will be
visiting the following City Centres:
Milton Keynes • Portsmouth • Birmingham • Cardiff
The event will be fun and exciting, hugely enjoyed by both
participants and spectators.
